MISSION:
We are looking for an Intellectual Property Lawyer to cover maternity leave (fixed-term contract) at our Selongey site (near Dijon). Frequent trips are expected in Lyon.
Working
for Groupe SEB’s Legal Department in the Digital Products Brands Centre, your
main missions will be to:
- Closely monitor the development of
products and services by the Group’s line managers
- Define the most appropriate filing
strategies with regard to business priorities
- Monitor procedures for filing and
examining trademarks at INPI, WIPO, EUIPO and working alongside our global
network of industrial property consultants
- Monitor opposition procedures
- Research and analyse the
availability of trademarks
- Research models and analyse the
freedom of exploitation for models
- Advise line managers in Groupe SEB
companies
- Write up agreements, such as
coexistence agreements, letters of consent.
- IP pre-trial and trial litigation:
In
particular, counterfeiting models, trademarks, patents, copyright, database,
forfeiture, invalidity proceedings, etc. Working alongside the IP & Digital
Centre Manager, the candidate will be involved in putting together files
[gathering evidence, organisation of purchase agreements by bailiffs,
researching accounting elements with the objective of evaluating the damage
suffered, inventory of competitive products with the objective of establishing
the novelty of a design, etc.] and participating in the construction of
appropriate lines of argument with lawyers.

PROFILE:
Having completed your higher education (5 years) in Intellectual Property, you have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience.
You display
independence, discipline, an ability to analyse and summarise and an ability to
communicate and adapt. You know how to anticipate and work alongside the
Group’s line managers and with the team in the Legal Department.
You are
fluent in English, which you will use on a daily basis to carry out your role.
You are familiar
with management software such as CPA Memotech. You use software such as Saegis,
Corsearch, Dart IP
